In the field of Petrochemical, CNTIC concentrates on the market of equipment importation and technical revamping for large scale enterprises and will develop the market for import of fine petrochemical technology. At the same time, CNTIC is developing the business for export of oil exploration, refinery and fertilizing equipment to markets in Middle East, Southeast Asia and CIS with an aim to find more business opportunities in these areas for petrolchemical equipment sale, project management and contracting project.
CNTIC is actively involved in the technology import and upgrading of domestic enterprises in the petrochemical field. Equipment that have been imported by CNTIC in this regard include: over 20 sets of ethylene equipment with a total annual production capacity of over 3 million tons; over 30 sets of large-scale fertilizer equipment for Hainan Fudao, CNOOC Hainan Orient, Inner Mongolia, Jiujiang, Weihe, and Jilin. The 450,000 tons/year synthetic ammonia and 800,000 tons/year carbamide project for CNOOC Chemical Ltd. is the largest imported nitrogenous fertilizer equipment in terms of a single line capacity at present. The 30,000 tons/year methane chloride project for Sichuan Zigong Honghe Chemical industry Co. Ltd. with loans from Spanish Government, is one of the key technology introduction projects in Sichuan in 2000 as it can enhance production structure, reduce energy consumption as well as improve product quality. CNTIC has also undertaken 600,000 tons/year methanol project for CNOOP, the Wengfulin Mine project in Guizhou, and the polypropylene project in Xinjiang etc.
In the field of export of complete plants, CNTIC puts emphasis on technology-intensive products including high-tech products and complete plants. CNTIC has exported technology and equipment of soda ash and ammonia chloride plant to Indonesia with capacity of 150,000 tons/year, which is the biggest export project in this industry in China up to now. The complete plant of viscose staple fiber with capacity of 100,000 tons/year to Pakistan is the first production line exported from China. CNTIC has successfully completed the projects of pharmaceutical plant, oxydol plant and formic acid plant in Pakistan, soda ash plant with capacity of 200,000 tons/year in Iran, and salt works in Egypt etc.
With the development of the projects, CNTIC has established close collaboration relations with the famous enterprises in the field of petrochemical in China and is working to expand market, maintain key technology and coordinate on project resources.
